Wapwallopen is an unincorporated community in Conyngham Township, Luzerne County. The name is of Lenape origin, from a word meaning roughly 'place where white wild hemp grows,' and marks a former Native American settlement.

The village sits where Big Wapwallopen Creek meets the Susquehanna River, downriver and southwest of Wilkes-Barre.
