About Tresckow

Tresckow is a small community in Banks Township, Carbon County. It was founded around 1851 and earlier known as Dutchtown for its German-speaking settlers. The 2020 population was 849, down from 880 a decade earlier.

It sits in the anthracite country just south of Hazleton, across the Carbon County line, with deep roots in coal mining and rail.
