About Lake Harmony
Lake Harmony is an unincorporated resort community in Kidder Township, Carbon County, set on the 113-acre lake that gives it its name. Kidder Township, which contains it, counted 1,791 residents in 2020 against 2,810 housing units, and about six in ten of those units are seasonal.
The lake sits near the interchange of Interstate 80 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension, one of the main gateways into the Poconos.

Split Rock Resort anchors the community, a lodge and conference destination on the lakeshore. Big Boulder, one of the first commercial ski areas in Pennsylvania, opened nearby in the 1940s, and the Jack Frost slopes opened in the same township in 1972. Hickory Run State Park and its Boulder Field fill the southern half of Kidder Township. Routes 940, 903, and 534 serve the area. This is a lakefront and ski market built on vacation homes.
