About Pocono Pines
Pocono Pines is a community in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County. It was first called Naomi Pines, for the resort Franklin Comfort Miller opened here in 1888.
In 1895 the Miller family's Pocono Pines Ice Company dammed Tunkhannock Creek to create the lake later known as Lake Naomi, a 277-acre body of water. Ice cut from the lake shipped by rail to distant cities.

In 1963 Logan Steele and family investors bought roughly 2,600 acres around the lake and developed the modern Lake Naomi Club, a member-owned community whose two associations, Lake Naomi and Timber Trails, take in 1,749 and 516 residential lots. Pocono Pines sits along Route 940 near Pocono Manor. It is a gated, amenity-rich lake community with a strong second-home market alongside its full-time residents.
